Minagawa's Solo Exhibition ”Katawara” at the New Space "minä perhonen galleria nolla" in Kyoto.

A new gallery space opened on the 5th floor of the Kyoto store.

The space is called "minä perhonen galleria nolla." "Nolla" means zero in Finnish. We envision this gallery as a place where something will be born between the space itself and the creators we encounter, serving as a starting point for new beginnings.

For its first exhibition, Akira Minagawa's solo exhibition "Katawara" is being held from June 30th (Wed.) to August 16th (Wed.). The exhibition showcases etchings, paintings, and three-dimensional works that were previously displayed at Hillside in Daikanyama in December 2022. Although the exhibition space in Kyoto is smaller than the one in Daikanyama, we have prepared a similar atmosphere. Minagawa, known for his textile designs, has been working as an individual artist, and we invite you to come and see his works in person.

Akira Minagawa Solo Exhibition "Katawara"

The theme of the exhibition is "Katawara," with the intention of integrating the artworks into the everyday scenery and making them something familiar that is always by your side. Please enjoy the objects created as if they were whispering casual shapes and colors.
