"herringbone" 2000-01→aw
This design uses a technique called jacquard weaving to express herringbone. I like the pattern herringbone . I think it is because it creates undulations, waves, and depth in the textile.
And when we wear the pattern as clothes, the textile moves with our body, giving it a more organic look. The relationship between cloth and body changes into a variety of movements and shapes. The relationship between this diversity and the graphic pictures reflected in the textile gives me a sense of infinite possibilities.
The literal translation of the word "herringbone" is "bone of herring," but I would like to take a look at herring bones again to see why it is herring.
