"snow cookie" 2005-06→aw
In this design, the flower motif is drawn with the image of a cookie mold. The flowers are made of paper thread expressing a dry texture to give the impression of a well-baked cookie.
Cookie molds are a lovely tool often found in European antique markets. They also look like ornaments, and I cannot help buying a few when I find them. I expanded the memory of these molds and thought it would be great to cut out the snowflakes.
In reality, the snow would melt and crumble right away. But we have fantasies about such things in our daily life. I want my clothes to be a part of imagination that is extended from reality.
