"LIFE" 2013^→s/s

I drew this pattern because I thought the combination of the word "LIFE" with the vertical and horizontal lines was a combination of occurrences and time. I thought the accumulation of the vertical and horizontal would be interesting also as a textile pattern.

As I filled in the word "LIFE" on the drawing paper with magic ink, I thought that the life differs, person by person, moment by moment. And then I slipped one word, "LOVE", into that screen. It may be a coincidence when the "I" and the "F" turn to the "O" and the "V", life changes to love. However, I felt the meaning in it. There is something magical and fascinating about a life that allows memories and expectations to swim in time.
